Sapientiae Lux is the sister voice of Augustinus Vox — the same lyrics, the same albums, the same message, but reborn through a radiant new sound with a female lead. This band and Vox are robot bands (A.I. music bands) made to help share the works of Saint Augustine and other ancient voices through music.
Blending retro-futurist 80s rock with bright synths, driving guitars, and bold, anthemic vocals, Lux brings a luminous and uplifting counterpart to Vox’s atmospheric intensity. Each song mirrors its Vox twin, offering the same truth in a different tone — one vision, two voices, shining together in harmony.
The band name Sapientiae Lux is a Latin phrase that means “Light of Wisdom”. I picked the name to mirror and compliment Augustinus Vox which means “Voice of Augustine”. To me it has cool sister vibes and I think it sounds pretty rockin’ also. 😀
I got the idea for this band in reflecting on the Augustinus Vox song Fove Precantes, Trinitas from the album On the Happy Life. That song was drawn from the end of Augustine’s work also titled On the Happy Life (or De beata vita) where Augustine describes how his mother Monica broke in with a hymn to God. That song was a such a blessing to me that overtime a desire grew to create a sister band.
Sapientiae Lux is part of a restless heart project of a single individual. My name is Kyle. You can read more about the project at Augustinus Vox.
